PDO Thread lift in London Special offer

In the quest for youthful and radiant skin, many individuals explore various cosmetic procedures, including the PDO thread lift. This revolutionary treatment offers a non-surgical solution to lift, tighten, and rejuvenate the face and body, providing natural-looking results without the need for extensive downtime or recovery.

What’s a PDO Thread Lift?

PDO (polydioxanone) facelift is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that aims to lift and tighten sagging skin on the face using PDO threads. The threads are made of a bio-compatible and absorbable material (polydioxanone) commonly used in medical sutures. These threads stimulate collagen production, resulting in long-lasting rejuvenation and a more youthful appearance.

PDO Thread Lifts work by creating a scaffolding under to tighten loose and sagging skin.  PDO threads are wonderful for people that are not ready to venture into injectibles but wish to take years off their face.  We can also incorporate thread lifts as part of a non-surgical facelift alongside fillers and wrinkle-relaxing injections.

It’s paramount to understand that a PDO Thread Lift targets skin laxity ONLY. This is not a solution if you need volume in your face. We often use it in conjunction with Dermal Filles for a non surgical facelift.

  • PDO threads strategically inserted into the skin, lifts and support areas of sagging, promoting a firmer and more lifted appearance.
  • Stimulates collagen production: The presence of PDO threads stimulates the body’s natural collagen production, leading to improved skin texture, elasticity, and firmness over time. Over time, collagen wrapes around the thread. When the thread dissolves, the collagen structure remains. This leads to long lasting effects.
  • Smooths wrinkles and fine lines: PDO threads can effectively smooth out wrinkles and fine lines, particularly in areas such as the forehead, cheeks, jawline, and neck.
  • Non-surgical and minimally invasive: Unlike surgical facelifts, PDO thread lift is performed using small needles and requires minimal downtime, making it a convenient option for individuals with busy lifestyles.
  • Natural-looking results: PDO thread lift delivers subtle and natural-looking results, enhancing the contours of the face while preserving facial expressiveness and symmetry.
  • PDO Threads can be part of puzzle when treating and lifting Jowls in a non surgical way.

The PDO Thread Process

  1. Consultation:
    • Before the procedure, you will have a consultation with Lorena to discuss your goals, assess your skin, and determine if PDO facelift is the right option for you. She will assess your facial anatomy, discusses your aesthetic goals, and develop a bespoke treatment plan tailored to your needs.
    • You will need to read and complete consent forms before the procedure.
  2. Procedure:
    • The practitioner will mark the treatment areas and inject a local anesthetic to numb the skin. We often use numbing cream in conjunction.
    • PDO threads are then inserted under the skin using a thin needle or cannula.
    • Positioning barbed threads that lifts and tightens the skin, while placing smooth threads strategically stimulates collagen.
  3. Recovery:
    • PDO facelift is a minimally invasive procedure, and recovery time is relatively short.
    • Patients may experience some swelling, bruising, or discomfort, but these effects are generally temporary.
    • Most people can resume normal activities within a few days after the procedure.
  4. Results:
    • The procedure immediately reveals the lifting effect, but optimal results typically emerge as collagen production increases over several weeks.
    • Results can last up to 1-2 years, and we may recommend additional treatments to maintain the effects.
    • As the threads are gently inserted beneath the skin, they create a supportive matrix that lifts and tightens sagging tissues. Once the desired lift and rejuvenation are achieved, the excess threads are trimmed, and the procedure is complete. Patients can typically resume their normal activities immediately after the treatment, although some temporary swelling, bruising, or redness may occur.

Considered a less invasive alternative to traditional surgical facelifts, PDO facelifts may vary in individual experiences and results. It gives a subtle lift which is ideal for those that wish to refresh and tighten their skin naturally without the need of fillers.  They can be combined with dermal fillers for a non surgical facelift. Patients should also follow post-procedure instructions provided by their us. This includes avoiding strenuous activities, sun exposure, and certain After that may increase the risk of bruising or bleeding.

Longevity and Maintenance

The longevity of PDO thread lift results can vary depending on the patient’s age, skin quality, lifestyle habits, and the number of threads used during the procedure (We’re very generous with threads). In general, PDO threads gradually dissolve over several months, but the collagen stimulation and tissue tightening effects can last for up to 12-18 months or longer.
