Lip fillers are all the rage right now with celebrities sporting the ever luscious pout. However, this is not the bulk of the work we do. We excel at natural lip fillers in London on men, women and all genders over 40 in a way that is natural and affordable.
Lip fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring component in soft tissues. They are used to enhance lip volume, define the lips, and address wrinkles around the mouth. Lip fillers are a critical part of facial rejuvenation. Our lips get thinner as we get older. Putting your volume back is very rejuvenating. Lip fillers will compliment a facial rejuvenation using dermal fillers. However, the opposite can happen with over filled lips. Which can be ageing and unnatural.
We offer lip fillers for women and men dermal filler in our London clinic.
You will have your consultation with experienced professional Lorena Oberg. Lorena will take her time listening to your concerns during the consultation in order to get a thorough idea of your expectations.Lorena will begin by discussing whether a non-surgical facelift is suitable for your specific needs. This involves a detailed conversation to understand your goals for the procedure, particularly regarding your lips.
During the consultation, we carefully examine the shape and size of your lips, taking into account your facial features and desired outcome. We then discuss the range of suitable treatment options available to achieve your goals. Additionally, we review your medical history and any before photos you may have. Once a treatment plan is chosen, we provide a comprehensive explanation of the chosen approach, addressing any questions or concerns you may have. Finally, we invite you for post-treatment follow-ups to ensure your satisfaction and monitor your progress.
If your Lip fillers are part of an over all non surgical facelift using fillers, we will discuss how it will all tie together.
We offer safe and effective lip augmentation techniques. We only use hyaluronic acid fillers, which are naturally found in the body and have a very low risk of an allergic reactions. Lorena is highly trained and experienced. Our priority is your safety and satisfaction. We strive to deliver results that enhance your natural beauty while maintaining the highest standards of care.
Common side effects include temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site. While these effects typically subside within a few days, it’s crucial to follow post-procedure care instructions provided by your practitioner. Rare complications, such as asymmetry, nerve damage, infection or vascular occlusion may occur but are significantly less common. To minimise the risk of adverse outcomes, it’s vital to choose a reputable and qualified professional working in a clinical setting.
The risks associated with lip fillers can significantly increase when performed by an inexperienced practitioners. Overuse or excessive injection of lip filler can potentially lead to permanent stretching of the lip skin.
Vascular occlusion is the big elephant in the room. This happens when a blood vessel is occluded by the filler. When this happens the tissue in the area is unable to get blood supply and the skin tissue begins to die. Vascular Occlusion is a risk with all dermal fillers but overfilled lips are very risky and we therefore do not do this. The importance of moderation can not be understated.
Filler migration may occur when dermal fillers unintentionally shift or move from their original injection site over time. This can result in a lack of border definition between the lip and surrounding areas. Factors that can contribute to filler migration, include the type of filler used, the skill of the practitioner performing the injections, the quantity of filler injected, and the quality of aftercare provided. In cases where filler migration occurs, they can easily be dissolved by using a dissolving agent, such as hyaluronidase. We have a specialised dissolving technique to gently and slowly dissolve migrated filler.
Lumps and bumps may occur and usually subside within 72 hours. Causes may be superficial filler or filler movement. We ask clients to massage if this happens and if there is no improvement to return to the clinic in 3 weeks for a correction. This rarely happens but if it does, it’s not difficult to correct.
When done correctly and not overfilled (which we will not ever do), lip fillers should feel like more supple and smoother lips.
We always start with 1ml. We may need to add an additional 4 weeks after the first injection date. The natural work we do rarely requires 3ml. This technique allows for a gradual build up.
This varies greatly from one person to the next. You will require a top up after 6 to 18 months. After the first top up, it can last even longer.
The main reason we see people injected elsewhere telling us that their lip filler didn’t last is because they only had half and ml. People do this because they don’t want their lips “too big”. However, once the swelling subsides, they simply can not see a difference. Other factors like lip size, age, and collagen levels also play a part. The filler used can play a big role in this. We find that many companies have re branded filler to be used specifically on the lips. This filler can have a very low molecule structure and last less.
We apply anaesthesia for pain reduction. Then quick and simple injections targeting desired areas followed by a post-injection lip massage and cold pack to reduce swelling.
If you’re afraid of pain, we can offer pain management injections that will make this procedure virtually pain free. There is a £50 charge for this service. Many that have had treatment elsewhere claim that it’s the best £50 they have ever spent!
Most of our work comes in the form of simply putting back what nature and age has taken away. Thin lips are very ageing and strategically and tastefully placed filler can give your face a much younger appearance. In fact, people are always surprised to learn that Lorena’s lips have filler. Lip fillers are a must when doing non surgical face lifts with fillers.
We will always start lips with only 1ML of product, we feel that it’s better to build things up gradually.
If you’re considering lip fillers it’s best to book in a free video Consultation so that we may discuss your needs. Price starts at £225 for 1ml/
