Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) Removal
Scalp Micro Pigmentation removal is more closely linked to Permanent Makeup Removal than Tattoo Removal. Tattoo artist generally use traditional inks which do not contain titanium oxide. In contrast, practitioners generally use PMU pigments containing Titanium for scalp micropigmentation. However, it’s worth noting that practitioners are employing carbon pigments for this procedure as a trend. This is generally good news from a removal point of view.
The use of titanium in pigments makes removal this sort of removal different from traditional tattoo removal. Under the laser, titanium reacts differently, and while this poses no problem for an experienced technician, it does require a different skill set. The size of titanium molecules also necessitates the use of specialized lasers to ensure the treatment is as safe and gentle as possible.

The most common problems with scalp micro pigmentation are colours turning blue as well as pigment blurring under the skin giving the scalp and helmet look. This can be due to many factors including pigments, technique and even PH Balance of your skin.
